Christmas Eats!

Christmas is just around the corner! You're probably still shuffling from one holiday party to the next, so we wanted to make it easier for you to decide what to bring. Here are a few of our favorite holiday recipes from Candlelight Homes.
This is a beautiful way to arrange a traditional vegetable tray! Get creative! Use whatever veggies you have on hand to decorate your tree. You can't go wrong! Use cauliflower for snow, pretzel sticks for a tree trunk and broccoli for your base. The possibilities are endless, not to mention simple!
This delicious and festive appetizer is delicious and beautiful! Also try it served over cream cheese with crackers.
12 oz package fresh cranberries
1/4 C green onion, chopped
1/4 C cilantro, chopped
1 small jalapeno pepper, optional
1 C sugar
1/4 t cumin
2 T juice from lime or lemon
dash salt
These skewers are bright and eye-catching, not mention so simple to make! All you need is grape tomatoes, mozzarella cubes, green pepper and toothpicks. That's it! Get the instructions here:
You can also do the Caprese Salad variation with mozzarella balls, basil leaves and cherry tomatoes. Drizzle with a bit of oil and vinegar, et voila! Yum!

20-50 jumbo or colossal black olives, pitted
20-50 small black olives
1-4 carrots (try to find fat ones, so the feet come out large enough)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese or neufchatel cheese, softened
1/2 t. dried chives
1/2 t. dried parsley
1/2 t. dill weed or dill seed
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. onion powder
1/8 t. salt
1/8 t. black pepper
