Valentine Treats

Valentine's Day is less than a week away! We have some adorable and EASY treats for your Valentine! These are so simple, even the kids can help.
These adorable Valentine treats could not be easier. All you need is pretzels, Hershey's Kisses or Hugs, and Valentine M&Ms. Preheat the oven to 200 F. Now you need to assemble the little buttons. Spread the pretzels on a cookie sheet. Then top each pretzel with a Kiss or Hug (you can even do a rolo if you want a caramel surprise!) Place these in the oven for approximately 3 to 4 min, just to soften the Kisses or Hugs. Now pull them out from the oven and gently press an M&M into the top of each one. Voila! That's it. Let them cool and completely harden. Enjoy!

Another super easy treat for your Valentine! All you need is strawberry flavored marshmallows (your grocer should have these as a seasonal item), melting chocolate, colored sprinkles and cupcake picks! Follow directions on the chocolate to melt in a bowl and stir until smooth. Dip marshmallows in chocolate and then sprinkle with festive nonpariels. Set marshmallow-side-down on wax paper to dry. Once dried, add cupcake picks and you're finished! These would be a great Valentine for friends. Try wrapping them in a cellophane bag with red ribbon and listen to your Valentines gush at how cute they (and you) are!

Who doesn't love Oreos? If you've never had a chocolate dipped Oreo, they are a match made in heaven! For this easy Valentine treat, all you need is a pack of Oreos, melting chocolate (milk or white) and some sprinkles for decoration and added crunch. Melt your chocolate according to the package until smooth. Dip Oreos in chocolate and sprinkle with assorted sprinkles. You can half-dunk your Oreos or cover them completely. Rest on wax paper to dry. That's it! Stack them in a cellophane bag with ribbon to give as gifts. Yum!
Make your favorite Rice Crispy Treat recipe. Shortcut: buy the pre-made ones! Cut them into bite-sized cubes. Melt your chocolate according to the package until smooth. Dip the cubes in chocolate and sprinkle with festive sprinkles! Set on wax paper to dry. Delicious and adorable!

These little truffles are even easier to make than they look! The base is made from a box of red velvet cake mix. Simple, right? Here is the complete list of ingredients and instructions.

1 (18.25 ounce) red velvet cake mix
1 (16 ounce) container cream cheese frosting
1 (16 ounce) package chocolate bark

Prepare the cake mix in a 9 X 13 baking pan according to the directions on the box. Cool completely on a wire rack.
Crumble the cake into a large bowl. Add the frosting and mix until well combined.
Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Roll a heaping tablespoon of dough into a 1½-inch ball and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Place in refrigerator until firm, several hours.
Melt chocolate in microwave per directions on package.
Working about 4 balls at a time, dip balls in chocolate using a spoon or a dipping fork and place on prepared baking sheet. Keep the undipped balls in the refrigerator until ready to dip.
Once you have covered all the balls in chocolate, place in the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is set. If desired, drizzle chocolate on the balls for decoration.
