Spooky Halloween Treats

1. Gooey Monster Cookies

1 White Cake Mix Box
1/2 cup Butter (softened)
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1 8oz. Cream Cheese Bar (softened)
1 egg
Powdered Sugar
Food Coloring
Candy Eyeballs

1.Beat butter, vanilla, egg and cream cheese until fluffy
2. Mix in cake mix. Divide batter into bowls for the amount of colors you want
3. Add food coloring to each individual bowl and mix until all combined
4. Chill for 30 minutes
5. Roll into balls and dip in a bowl of powdered sugar
6. Place on greased cookie sheet and pat down a bit
7. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
8. Add candy eyeballs while cookies are still warm 


1 Large Granny Smith Apple
Juice of 1 lemon (if making before party)
1 Cup Peanut Butter
Yogurt Covered Raisins

1. Wash the apple and cut it into 8 sections
2. Cut each section in half again, to form the two lips. Slice off the core and seed portion
3. Soak in the lemon water for about 10 minutes. Strain and pat dry
4. Spread peanut butter on one side of apple slices
5. Press yogurt covered raisins into the peanut butter along the peel side to make the teeth. Place
one yogurt covered raisin behind the row of teeth to help stabilize the top lip
6. Carefully place the top lip onto the yogurt covered raisin teeth


White Chocolate Melting Wafers

Orange Food Coloring
Yellow Food Coloring

1. Melt the needed amount of white chocolate wafers in a pot 
2. Add orange food coloring until your desired shade or orange
3. Dip marshmallow about half way into the melted chocolate and swirl around
to create a smoother finish
4. Place on wax paper and allow to cool and harden completely
5. While marshmallow is cooling, melt more white chocolate and this time use your
yellow food coloring
6. Dip your marshmallow into the yellow to create a candy corn look


JUMBO Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Oreo Cookies
M&M candy pieces
1/4 Cup White Candy Melts, Baking Chips or Almond Bark

1. Melt the white candy melts--this will be the ''glue'' that holds the owl together
2. Separate 2 Oreo cookies for the eyes. You will be using the sides that have the icing on them
3. Press a M&M candy piece (two of the same color) onto each of the Oreos
4. Dip the back of each cookie into the candy melt and attach to the Reese's. Let set for 10 minutes.
5. Cut a M&M candy piece in half for the nose. Dip the half piece lightly into the candy melt 
and attach to the peanut butter cup in the nose region
6. Take one fo the discarded Oreo wafers that did not have the cream filling on it and cut
it in half. Gently insert it into the peanut butter cup upright, against the eyes. These will be the eyebrows
