4 Easter Treats

Easter is next weekend! Check out these 4 Easter treats that will be a tasty
addition to your Easter celebration:

1. Chocolate-covered Strawberry Carrots
Ingredients:
  • Strawberries
  • Orange candy melts
Instructions:
  1. Wash and dry strawberries
  2. Dip strawberries into warm, melted candy melts
  3. Refrigerate
  4. Drizzle strawberries with more orange candy melts to create a ''carrot'' look
2. Robin's Egg Nests
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 4 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Food coloring
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon water
  • Chocolate candy melts
  • Jelly beans
Instructions:
  1. Spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
  3. Add the marshmallows and melt them, stirring frequently
  4. Once marshmallows are melted, add a few drops of food coloring and mix
  5. Remove from heat and mix in the Rice Krispies
  6. Quickly take a large spoonful of the mixture and shape with fingers along the side of the muffin cups
  7. Let cool completely
  8. While the nests are cooling, in a small bowl mix the water and green food coloring
  9. Add the coconut and mix until the egg is tinted green
  10. Lay it out on tin foil to dry
  11. One the nests are cool, use candy melts and dip the bottom of the nests into the chocolate
  12. Add coconut and jelly beans to complete the look
3. Bite Size Easter Brownies
Ingredients:
  • 1 Brownie mix
  • 1 tube of green icing
  • 1 package of Cadbury Eggs (or Easter candy of your choice)
Instructions:
  1. Bake brownies according to package. Bake in bite-size square silicone mold
  2. Let brownies cool and pop out of mold
  3. Trim any edges to make the little square nice and tidy
  4. Pipe green frosting onto the top of the brownies
  5. Place Cadbury Egg (or candy of your choice) onto top of frosting to finish
4. CinnaBunnies
Ingredients:
  • 1 Tube of Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls
  • Raisins
  • Almonds
  • Frosting
  • Sprinkles
Instructions:
  1. Use 1 cinnamon roll for the head and 1 for the ears
  2. After shaping the ears, give them a good pinch to connect them to the head
  3. Add raisins for the eyes and nose 
  4. Add 2 sliced almonds for the teeth
  5. Bake according to directions on cinnamon roll tube
  6. Once baked and cooled, ice the ears and adorn with colored sprinkles
